So you decided against warnings from your parents to get a tattoo. You think, "It's just a small inconspicuous one on my nape. It couldn't hurt a thing." That may not be true, according to one study, however.
A recent study led by Nicolas Guéguen of France's Université de Bretagne-Sud showed that men thought women with a tattoo were more likely to go on a date with them, and more likely to have sex on the first date, than women without a tattoo. Furthermore, the study found that women with lower back tattoos were approached more often than women without them.
Especially for women, people tend to make judgments about your character based on how many, the nature of them and where the tattoos are located.
